?Grateful to Give Challenge? Raises $836 for Student Essentials Fund

After a week-long fund drive, the Grateful to Give Challenge came to a close on Friday, raising $836.40 for LSC’s Student Essentials Fund. The “Challenge” portion of Grateful to Give represented a friendly competition between LSC students and LSC staff as to who could raise more money. Employees “won” this year’s challenge by raising $472.06.

Annual screenings for prostate cancer led to more diagnoses of the disease, but not fewer prostate cancer deaths, according to a new report from the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, and Ovarian (PLCO ) Cancer Screening Trial. The results appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine.

I have my network configured with five vlans for different areas (servers, workstations, sandboxing, guests, and DMZ) and a /28 subnet assigned for each zone all the fancy network math done.

Getting into a climate change debate on Twitter could be even more exhausting than it sounds now that a software developer named Nigel Leck has automated the process. Tired of arguing with climate change deniers in 140 character quips, the programmer wrote a script to do it for him. Chatbot @AI_AGW scans Twitter every five minutes searching for hundreds of phrases that fit the usual denier argument paradigm. Then it serves them up some science.
